MrQ review: payouts, spin rules and who runs it

Section 14 of MrQ’s terms pays every promotion prize in cash with no wagering, and MrQ pays a cash credit if an eligible withdrawal takes it longer than 60 seconds to process. Its slowest step is the source-of-funds check, which MrQ said was taking up to 7 days.

The fast-withdrawal promise and its exclusions

The guarantee promises to process withdrawals within 60 seconds of request. A miss earns £10 in cash, paid within one business day, and holders of the Q+ pass get £30 instead. Only MrQ’s own step is timed: the help centre says the guarantee covers our processing time, not how long your bank takes.

It excludes a withdrawal on hold for verification checks, a customer in breach of the terms, deposits paid through mobile carrier billing (a method MrQ’s payment page does not list), failures that are not MrQ’s doing, an expired card for one, and outages, when the guarantee is paused until the service returns. The help centre adds that the withdrawal must go to a verified payment method, and the guarantee does not apply when MrQ has reasonable grounds to suspect fraud, abuse or an error.

Processing is not always instant either. A request not processed at once may take as long as 2 working days, so a standard card can take 2 + 5 = 7 working days, and a few banks need 7 on their own.

  • Small balances. Below the £10 minimum, the terms say support can pay out the whole balance on request.
  • Fees. None, with two exceptions: MrQ keeps 99p or less left on an account its owner closed unless they ask for it (when MrQ closes the account, it deducts that sum as an administration fee), and an international bank wire, used only when no listed method works, may carry an administration charge.
  • Bank statements. A withdrawal may appear as MrQ, TekFox or Tek Fox Ltd.

Wager-free winnings, spend steps and the Q+ pass

Some offers require a qualifying spend before awarding the reward; that spend is separate from wagering on winnings. A £10 spend is still the player’s own money staked, part of the offer’s cost.

  • Promo codes. A promo-code sign-up can bring a slightly different offer (another game, say).
  • Refer a Friend. 100 spins for the friend and 50 for the referrer, at 10p each on Fishin’ Frenzy Even Bigger Fish 3 Megaways Rapid Fire, expiring seven days after they arrive. The referrer must have deposited and wagered £10 or more, and the friend must sign up through the referral link, deposit and wager £10 or more and complete age verification. The offer cannot be combined with the welcome offer.

Since 19 January 2026 the Gambling Commission has capped wagering requirements at ten times, and no MrQ term read sets a wagering multiple at all.

The MRQBINGO ticket offer

MrQ’s bingo promotion advertises a £20 bingo bonus for new customers who make a single first deposit and spend £10 with the code MRQBINGO, and no other offer can run alongside it. It pays 20 tickets a game, credited automatically for the first 5 games after it is awarded, in the Dab & Disco room at 20p a ticket (20 × 5 × 20p = £20). The spend has to be met within 12 hours of the first deposit, excluding bingo, live casino, table games and listed excluded games, and the page dates the offer from 30/10/2024 until further notice. How the rooms work: how MrQ bingo works.

The Q+ pass

Q+ is a pass that lasts 30 days and costs £20, which is not credited to the balance. MrQ is trialling it with a limited number of randomly selected players, and buying needs a verified account in the buyer’s own name and a previous deposit. It brings free spins on Buffalo Bills Big Hunt, delivered in batches at 20p a spin (each batch used within 7 days of being credited), 5 live-roulette chips, 20p each (7 days), £2 cashback in each 7-day block of the pass in which real-money wagering reaches £30, which spins, chips and bonus funds do not count towards (up to £8, so £120 over four weeks) and a £30 guarantee credit in place of £10. Cancelling within 14 days refunds the value of any spins and chips not yet credited, but nothing for those already credited.

Identity, address and source-of-funds checks

The verification timelines article said For Source of Funds checks, it's currently taking up to 7 days. It called that a backlog, and it added that escalating to a manager or complaining would not change the timeline.

MrQ lists the documents by circumstance (payslips, a recent bank statement, tax returns, pension or benefit letters) and offers an open-banking route instead, ClearStake, powered by Nuapay, an FCA-authorised payment institution. Accepted identity documents and the steps for a locked account are in MrQ account help, and the credit-file mark from the sign-up check in why MrQ checked your credit file.

Licence history and regulator record

Two operators have run one website. Lindar Media Limited, incorporated in England in 2014, came first, and MrQ’s 2019 terms name it as the brand’s owner and operator. Tek Fox Ltd, a Malta company, gained bingo and casino licences of its own on 29 September 2023. In July 2024 MrQ’s help centre announced the switch in one line, Lindar Media will be replaced by Tek Fox Ltd., and players logging in on 1 August 2024 were asked to accept new terms before they could play on.

MrQ described the move as a transfer within its group. Archive copies, dated when the Internet Archive made them, show www.mrq.com joining Tek Fox’s entry between August and November 2024, and on 5 October 2026 Lindar Media Limited held a Gambling Software licence only and listed www.mrq.com as inactive.

In September 2023, Lindar Media Limited accepted a £690,947 payment after a Gambling Commission investigation found social responsibility and anti-money laundering failures at the operator of MrQ.com. The public statement, read in an archive copy, covers July 2021 to September 2022 and lists:

  • an anti-money-laundering risk assessment and controls that were not adequate
  • customer-interaction failings: some customers could deposit and lose up to and in excess of £10,000 with no control in place to step in until the money had gone
  • a Reddit advert and cartoon imagery on MrQ.com judged likely to appeal to children
  • no annual contribution for 2021 towards research, prevention and treatment of gambling harm
  • late notice of a key person leaving, and a head of compliance holding other management posts without approval

The agreed payment, due instead of a financial penalty, included a divestment of £50,947. Lindar also agreed to the statement’s publication and to contribute towards the Commission’s costs, and the Commission recorded that it had accepted the failings at the earliest opportunity.

That action has since left the live register. Archive copies of Lindar’s entry show it from February 2024 to 18 September 2026, but on 24 September 2026 the live entry listed no regulatory actions and the action’s own page returned a not-found message. The Commission keeps public statements online for 3 years from issue. Tek Fox Ltd’s entry listed no regulatory actions on 5 October 2026.

The Advertising Standards Authority upheld complaints about two adverts by Lindar Media Ltd, trading as MrQ.com: a paid Reddit advert with three cartoon Spider-Man figures, likely to appeal particularly to children (21 September 2022), and a Facebook advert showing a cartoon Santa driving a snow plough, after which the ASA told the company to keep themes with strong appeal to under-18s out of future adverts (20 March 2024).

Player protections, complaints and account rules

Since version 1.4 of the terms (29/09/2026) a player’s own money limits come in two kinds, deposit limits and net deposit limits (deposits minus withdrawals), each set daily, weekly or monthly, and the lowest one in force applies. Lowering a limit works at once, while raising one waits 24 hours and must then be confirmed again. MrQ can also apply a Fixed Limit that the player cannot raise or remove: lifting it takes proof of income, with the ceiling typically set at 30% of the player’s average monthly income, and an account previously registered with GAMSTOP gets a fixed monthly limit of £500.

  • Reality checks remind a player of time spent, after a chosen period from 30 minutes up to four hours.
  • A time-out lasts between 24 hours and six weeks.
  • Self-exclusion lasts 6 months to 5 years under the terms, or permanently on request, and closes the account. A balance of £1 or more is returned once any verification or due-diligence checks are complete, and 99p or less goes as an administration fee to a safer gambling charity MrQ chooses.
  • A MrQ exclusion covers your MrQ account and any future websites operated by us. The Lindar-era terms of July 2024 limited it to the one website.
  • Coming back takes a written request, a phone call with MrQ and a 24-hour cooling-off wait, after which a maximum monthly spend limit applies.

If you’re excluding because play has got out of hand, add GAMSTOP as well: MrQ’s own exclusion doesn’t reach any other operator. The National Gambling Helpline, run by GamCare, answers free on 0808 8020 133 at any hour, and from Wales the NHS Wales gambling helpline is 0808 2819 265. Every MrQ tool has its own entry on the safer gambling page.

The complaint route

  1. Contact the Player Experience Team by live chat from 9am to 9pm every day of the week, or at support@mrq.com, with a target of replying within 24 hours. MrQ does not provide phone support.
  2. Put the complaint in writing and email it to support@mrq.com, as the terms require. The terms set a 24-hour target for acknowledging it; the help centre gives 24 to 48 hours.
  3. Count eight weeks from receipt. The terms commit MrQ to resolving the complaint within eight weeks, or to saying why it cannot and giving a date.
  4. Refer the dispute to IBAS if the outcome is unsatisfactory or eight weeks have passed. The Independent Betting Adjudication Service takes email at adjudication@ibas-uk.co.uk, calls on 020 7347 5883 and post at PO Box 62639, London EC3P 3AS.
  5. Send a data complaint separately, to dataprivacy@mrq.com (acknowledged within one month) or to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Account rules

  • One account per player, with duplicates closed when found, and no inactivity or dormancy fees.
  • Section 4 of the General Terms (V1.4, last updated 29/09/2026) promises an email to the registered address before a substantial amendment is made and a notice when the player next logs in, and it dates each version. The Fair Use Policy, version 1 of 24/09/2019, is older than the change of operator.
